Community Guidelines

At Mapdate, we passionately believe in our vision to build a real community defined by acceptance, equality, empowerment, and freedom. To achieve this goal, we count on all of our members to join us and participate in such a way that promotes a friendly, positive experience for our global community.

These Guidelines are designed to ensure every user has a safe and enjoyable experience on Mapdate and constitute an integral part of the Terms and Conditions of Use, supplementing them as provided below. Failure to adhere to these Guidelines may result in losing access to our platform.

Please read the following Guidelines, as they apply to all user activity and content shared on the platform. All of our policies are based on feedback and suggestions from our community members and any applicable laws. We kindly request that you honor these rules in the spirit in which they are intended.

To protect the integrity of our community, as the provider of the service, we reserve the right to suspend any account at any time for any conduct that we determine to be inappropriate or harmful. Such actions may include removal of content, a strike on the account, and/or suspension of account(s).

We strive to create an inspiring, supportive, fun community on our platform, so we ask that all users heed the following Community Guidelines:

Spam

Irrelevant or unsolicited messages sent over the platform are strictly forbidden, typically to a large number of users, for the purposes of advertising, phishing, or spreading malware.

Personal Information

Do not publicly disclose any private information, whether somebody else’s or your own. This includes IDs and social security numbers, passports, passwords, financial information, or unlisted contact information. All content that could potentially lead to physical, mental, or financial harm by offering, requesting, or soliciting personal details will be removed.

Promotion or Solicitation

Soliciting other users is prohibited on the platform. If the purpose of your profile is to advertise your event or business, nonprofit, political campaign, contest, or to conduct research, we have the right to delete your account.

Scamming or Asking for Money

Do not attempt to get other users’ private information for fraudulent or illegal activity; such attempts will result in a ban. Any user caught sharing their own financial account information for the purpose of receiving money from other users will also be banned.

Harassment or Abuse

Do not engage, or encourage others to engage, in any targeted abuse or harassment against any other user. This includes sending any unsolicited sexual content to other users. Reports relating to stalking, threats, bullying, or intimidation will be taken very seriously and may lead to an investigation. Should we determine that there has been abuse, you will be excluded from the platform. Moreover, your offline behavior can lead to termination of your account.

Hate Speech

Do not post any content that promotes, advocates for, or condones racism, bigotry, hatred, or violence against individuals or groups based on factors like race, ethnicity, religious affiliation, disability, gender, age, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or political affiliation.

Nudity & Explicit Content

No nudity or sexually explicit content is allowed on the platform.

Prostitution & Trafficking

Do not promote or advocate for commercial sexual services, human trafficking, or other non-consensual sexual acts; such actions are strictly prohibited and will result in your account being banned from the platform immediately.

Violence & Physical Harm

Violence is not tolerated. Do not post graphic or gory content, or any actions or content that advocate for violence of any sort, including threatening or promoting terrorism, physical assault, coercion, or racism.

Copyright & Trademark Infringement

Do not post or share any content subject to third-party copyright or trademark rights without their explicit permission or authorization. We ask that you respect all applicable intellectual property rights when adding content to your account.

Breaking the Law

You must respect all applicable local, national, and international laws while using our services. Any content or activity featuring, encouraging, offering, or soliciting illegal activity is prohibited.

Illegal Usage

Do not use the service to do anything illegal. Anything illegal by law or in real life is illegal on the platform. This may result in being banned or restricted from the site, and/or being reported to the authorities.

Minors

As stipulated in our Terms of Service, the platform is exclusively available to users over the age of 18. If you suspect a user of misrepresenting their age on our platform, you can report their profile via our in-app reporting feature. Mapdate reserves the right to request age verification by means of a government-issued photo ID. This process and all data associated with it will be subject to the provisions for data protection provided under our Privacy Policy.

Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Mapdate strictly prohibits any form of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE), including the creation, upload, sharing, or facilitation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any content — real, fictional, animated, or AI-generated — that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors under 18; report suspected CSAE/CSAM immediately via the in-app tool, and we will remove it within hours using AI detection and human moderators, report confirmed cases to authorities (e.g., NCMEC), and permanently ban violators — contact [email protected] for child safety concerns.

Impersonation & Catfishing

Do not attempt to impersonate another individual. Creating fake accounts, uploading misleading photos of your friends, celebrities, or other people to your profile, registering an account on behalf of a minor or other third party, and identity theft are strictly prohibited.

Poor-Quality Content

Poor-quality content, such as highly filtered pictures or altered videos, might be removed from the platform, as well as excessive uploading of animated or cartoon content without a human element. Any cartoon or animation depicting violent, sexual, or threatening acts is prohibited.

Account Inactivity

We encourage people to actively log in and use the platform when they register an account. If you don’t log in to your account for 2 years, we may delete your account for inactivity.

One Individual, One Account

One account cannot have multiple owners, so don’t create an account with your friends or significant other. Additionally, please don’t maintain multiple accounts.

Profile Authentication & Integrity

To ensure the authenticity and integrity of all interactions and conversations on our platform, we request that users refrain from posting profile pictures where the face is obscured or where the image is overly digitally altered.

We use a combination of automated systems and a team of moderators to monitor and review accounts and messages for content that indicates breaches of these Guidelines and our Terms and Conditions. If you don’t follow these guidelines, you’ll receive a warning (unless our team decides to block or restrict access without warning at our discretion). If you ignore this warning, you risk losing your account. These guidelines are designed to make Mapdate a friendly and safe place for all our users.
